German stoner doom outfit WeedWizard return with »Blood Cathedral«, their second full-length album, set for release on July 3rd, 2026.

Founded in 2013, the band have spent more than a decade building their sound around heavy riffs, doom-laden grooves and sludge-infused weight. Following the release of their 2018 demo »No Soul To Sell«, the 2020 split »Doomed Congregation« alongside Spirit Ruiner, Grey Stag and Indigo Hammer, and their debut album »Closed Eyes, Open Mind«, WeedWizard now return with eight tracks of fuzz-drenched heaviness.

»Blood Cathedral« features seven new songs alongside a re-recorded version of »Down«, originally released as a standalone single in 2022. Across its 44-minute running time, the album moves through crushing riffs, slower doom passages and groove-driven stoner metal, with guest appearances from Ralf of Hellamor on »Trouble A.D.« and »Isolation«.

The band consists of Frank (Old Mother Hell, ex-Baleful Abyss), The Dude (Abandoned, Old Mother Hell, ex-Paniczone, ex-Silent Overdrive), Flecko and Christoph (Old Mother Hell). Their lyrics tackle themes including anti-fascism, anti-capitalism and criticism of organised religion, alongside a healthy appreciation for pipe weed.

»Blood Cathedral« was engineered, mixed and mastered by drummer Christoph Litzinger, while the album artwork was created by Ralf Burkart of Hellamor and Throatgrind Magazine.
