Athens, Greece based alternative metal trio Misty Route premiere a lyric video for the third single »Freedom« taken from their upcoming studio album, »Ethos«, set to release on March 20th, 2026 via Bitume Prods.

Having already released the singles »Blind God« and »Hail« from their upcoming album »Ethos«, Misty Route revealed the third single titled »Freedom« on February 27th.
Just like in the first two singles, the focus remains on the social side of things. The song talks about freedom literally and metaphorically. It’s about finding what’s imprisoning your mind, your fears, doubts, limits or stereotypes and breaking free from your “chains”, while opening your arms wide, embracing all those who fight for their freedom against any type of oppression.
»Ethos« is Misty Route’s second full-length album, scheduled for release in digital, digipack CD and vinyl format under the associative label Bitume on March 20, 2026.

Sonically the album revolves around dark ambient soundscapes and emerging heavy grooves that often escalate to liberating Metal breakouts. The lyrics focus on some of the biggest problems of our modern society, from a human being’s point of view. The album’s title »Ethos« comes from the Greek word “Ήθος”, which encapsulates a person’s values, morale, way of life and behavioral characteristics. The album cover is inspired by the flame that we carry deep in our souls, which refuses to go out despite the challenges, symbolizing our last resort in the darkest of times that we are going through.
Misty Route is an alternative metal band formed in 2019, in Athens, by Lefteris Saatsakis (guitar and vocals) and George Armando Konomi (bass). After a few auditions, Kostas Bacopoulos joined the band on the drums in October 2019 and completed the lineup that later recorded the album »Without A Trace«. In September 2023 Konstantinos Kaloudis was the last to join the band to replace Kostas on the drums. The story begins when mutual friends of theirs introduced Lefteris and George to each other, who began jamming together and creating some first tunes. All the band members had some short experience as solo artists or as members of local bands in the past. However, Misty Route represents a joint attempt to take things to the next level.
Misty Route is a unique name chosen to reflect the band’s musical style as much as possible. It symbolizes the passage of the human being through life and the journey towards the destination. In parallel, it also evokes the deep thoughts and dilemmas of the wanderers, as well as the unexpected at the other end of the mist waiting to be discovered.
The band’s music is inspired by a mix of different genres and is mainly defined by its dark, ambient and groovy character. Touches of psychedelic rock are harmoniously brought together with metal breakouts. After the release of a 3-track demo in 2020, Misty Route officially launched digitally on December 26, 2021 their debut album entitled »Without A Trace«. The album became available as digipack CD from November 24, 2023 via Bitume label.
