Volynka is an alternative rock band based in Athens Greece. Their debut album came out in 2022 blending a variety of influences, such as post-punk, grunge and no wave into a sound that they loosely call “noise ‘n’ roll”. Neurotic melodies, juxtaposed with heavy bursts, form the basis on which a female voice weaves stories about the angst of coping with love, survival and death in this quite mad world.

Their sophomore album »Staycation« digs deeper in the same direction. Dealing with the post lock-down trauma that remains unaddressed while we collectively as a species become increasingly deluded and aggressive day by day.
