Gus Seventy Seven (Gus77) is a grunge rock band from Kozani-Karditsa, Greece. The band consists of members Socratis Valeras (vocals), Panos Pritsas (vocals), Kostas Paraschis (guitars, bass guitar), Chris Koutroulis (guitar), and Sakis Spiropoulos (drums). Established in 2011 and they self-released their first 8-track studio album named »Tramp« in September 2012. On 30 April 2022, they self-released their second studio album named »The Early Days« which contains 10 tracks.
The album »The Early Days« recorded the last two years, is quite melancholy and musically it is quite influenced by the ’90s and specifically by the Seattle scene. It lyrically emphasizes issues such as depression, loss, drug addiction, self-esteem, and striving to be yourself, but also political issues such as refugees. Musically it moves at a slow and fast tempo and the two voices give another aesthetic. This record is simply the externalization of our love for music and our inner need to create, wherein quarantine it swelled.
