Get ready for ten tracks of unrelenting fuzz, groove, and attitude as Weevil release their debut album, »Easy Way«, on December 13, 2024.

The album promises a high-gain wander through square waves and dusty dunes, blending thick, fuzzy guitars, massive grooves, and raw energy to create a sound that’s as heavy as it is hypnotic. From the garage rock primitivism of »Wake The Dead« and »Last Night A Zombie…«, to the punk fueled urgency of »Easy Way«, »Headache«, and »Friday The 13th«, each track offers something different while staying true to the band’s unapologetically loud ethos.

On the trippier side, »The Old Man Lied« and »Insomnia« take you on a spacey, atmospheric ride, while »Rickenbästard« delivers a supercharged homage to rock ‘n’ roll’s ultimate figure, Lemmy Kilmister. Whether on a road trip or rumbling through your speakers, »Easy Way« is a high-octane journey into desert rock territories.

The album was recorded with the intention of capturing the raw energy of 70s and 90s riff rock, promising a visceral listening experience, heavily influenced by rock ‘n’ roll, psychedelia, blues, punk, and desert rock. From its roaring open to its zombiestaggering close, »Easy Way« is a debut suited for the most discerning desert punks and fuzz freaks out there.

Biography:

Weevil, a fuzzed-out heavy rock band hailing from Athens, Greece, emerged in 2017 with a singular vision: to channel the raw energy and timeless appeal of 70s and 90s riff rock. After undergoing several lineup changes, the band solidified its current formation, featuring Nikolas Kalogirou on vocals, Chris Itto and Robert Benedik on guitars, Nikolas Flip on drums and Petros Kyriazis on bass.

Weevil’s debut album, »Easy Way«, is a testament to their unwavering dedication to crafting a powerful blend of rock’n’roll, psychedelia, blues, punk, and desert rock suited for the most discerning desert punks and fuzz freaks out there.

Recorded between November 2022 and August 2023 in Downstroke Studios and Itto Recordings, »Easy Way« showcases the band’s uncompromisingly loud synergy between raw vocals, thick fuzzy guitars, massive grooves, and rumbling low end. For the needs of the album, the band recruited old time friend and engineer Thanos Amorginos who is responsible for the drum and vocal recordings. Itto completed the rest of the recordings and production in January 2024.

With the release of their debut LP »Easy Way« on December 13, 2024, Weevil is poised to make a significant impact on the heavy rock scene. Fueled by punk rock attitude, Weevil’s music promises a high-gain journey into square waves and dusty dunes.

Fans of Fu Manchu, Brant Bjork, Motörhead, The Hellacopters, 1000mods, Dozer, Nebula, Nightstalker, Truckfighters, and all things fuzz-n-roll will undoubtedly find a kindred spirit in Weevil.
