Hostal Handshake is a stoner doom/hard desert rock band from Athens, Greece, active since 2001. Following early promos and their debut album Hellish (Secret Port Records, 2007), they returned with »Stone Oracle« – their long-awaited sophomore full-length, released in January 2026. After 18 years, the riffs are heavier, the fuzz deeper, and the desert winds louder.
Megiddo: The Final Conflict has a soundtrack.
From the ancient hills of the Levant to the predatory buzz of loitering munitions, »Megiddo« is the rhythmic pulse of a foretold catastrophe. In this three-track descent, Hostal Handshake bridges the gap between 2026 geopolitical tensions and primordial prophecy, offering a monolithic slab of stoner-fuzz-groove that seeks no absolution. History doesn’t repeat itself; it ends here.

The journey begins with »Euphrates Zero Hour« (2:08), a haunting, instrumental immersion into the threshold of war. As the sixth angel’s bowl dries the great river, the barriers of the old world vanish, replaced by the shimmering heat of oriental-infused distortion and industrial dread.
The haze thickens with »False Flag Operation« (6:14). In a world of monolithic lies and rising mercury, the truth is the first casualty. This track is a high-volume witness to the tragic theatre of war – a massive, fuzz-drenched groove that pulls back the curtain on the puppet strings and jammed signals of the modern battlefield. The desert is bleeding, and the hallucination has begun.
The cycle closes with »Persepolis« (7:01), an instrumental doom odyssey. This 7-minute meditation returns to the ruins of empire to find the sound of the cycle. History rhymes in fuzz as heavy, progressive riffing and pentatonic scales observe the terminal tensions between superpowers. No sides are taken; no winners are declared. When the smoke clears, only the ruins remain.
Lower your tuning. Raise the volume. Welcome to the fallout.
