In 2018, five death metal lunatics in Edinburgh, Scotland decided to keep the flag of British bulldozer death metal flying high in the spirit of the great Bolt Thrower – and thus, Death Kommander was born. The band released a four-song demo in 2018, followed by their debut album »Pro Patria Mori« in 2021. Due to pandemic-related restrictions, promoting the album live proved challenging, leading them to focus on writing new material instead.
Not long ago, death metal war machine Death Kommander unleashed their crushing album »Never To Grow Old« (2025). Now, the band returns to the battlefield with their latest release, »The Great Offensive«.
For this new assault, Death Kommander entered the studio to completely re-record all four tracks from their 2018 demo »Summer Offensive«. As an added bonus, two tracks from their debut album »Pro Patria Mori« have also been given a full studio overhaul, delivering even more firepower to this relentless campaign.
Expect merciless, brutal death metal in the finest Bolt Thrower tradition, heavy riffs, crushing grooves, and an atmosphere drenched in the smoke of war. Sharpen your bayonets, prepare your defenses, and brace yourselves for the next offensive.
