Körgull The Exterminator (Thrash/Black Metal // Spain)
Körgull The Exterminator is a thrash/black metal band from Catalonia, Spain. Körgull The Exterminator was formed in 2004 by Joe Bastard (Akerbeltz, Bombenhagel, ex-Beheaded Lamb, ex-Harridan), originally conceived as a side project. After rehearsing with different guitarists and bassists without meeting Joe’s expectations, he decided to record the already composed drum tracks and shelve the project for the future.
In 2007, Joe regained interest and resurrected Körgull The Exterminator. The recordings were completed with Lilith Necrobitch (Spectre, ex-Akerbeltz, ex-Beheaded Lamb, ex-Harridan) on vocals, Drizzt Sarnad (Cryptic Wanderings, Empty) on bass, and Mark Wild (Whirlwind, ex-Graveyard, ex-Insulters) on guitar. The result of this venture was the split CD with Morbid Yell (The Black Legions March Over The Killing Fields), released by the French label Thor’s Hammer Productions.
Körgull The Exterminator was destined to disappear after this recording, but the power of the music they created transformed the band from a project into a solid formation with the addition of Steel Maniac on bass.
With this lineup, the band has played live with artists such as Inquisition, Old, Zed Yago, Portrait, Sinister, Graveyard, Fleshcrawl, and others. In 2008, Körgull The Exterminator signed a record deal with Xtreem Music for their first full-length album, »Dogs Of War«, and subsequent releases. To this day, Körgull The Exterminator is working hard on their live performances and developing their signature style and battle cry: Axe Thrash Metal!!!
Released in August 2023, »Built To Kill« is the 6th opus by bizarre thrash/black war machine Körgull The Exterminator. Superior in every sense to al their previous works, this is the real sound of fucking evil and raw Axe Thrash! Fans of Sodom, Bathory, Hellhammer, early Voivod, Darkthrone, Bulldozer, and the like, pay heed!
