“Babona is a Hungarian word. The meaning is superstition.”

Babona is a one-man doom/sludge metal music project founded in Miskolc, Hungary.

True to its name, Babona plays dark, atmospheric and heavy doom/sludge metal. Mysticism and heavy riffs dominate its music.

The project has been extremely active since its launch in 2020. It has released several singles, EPs and full-length albums so far, including the albums »Menedék« (2023), »Szentségtelen« (2024) and »Az Átkozott« (2026).
