Slor is a psychedelic doom and sludge metal trio from Reykjavík, Iceland. Formed in 2014, the band features Hafþór Magnússon (guitar and vocals), Jökull Örlygsson (bass), and Engilbert Norðfjörð (drums). They are known for their bottomless heaviness, downtuned grooves, and epic, immersive space-themed compositions.
The band members originally connected at a local Reykjavík bar after bonding over a shared love of heavy music. In 2023, Slor made waves in the underground heavy music scene with their self-released debut full-length, Journey to the Space Temple. The double album blends doomy riffs with expansive, psychedelic elements, showcasing tracks that easily stretch past the 15-minute mark.

Slor built their reputation locally and internationally by bringing their uniquely Icelandic twist to the European heavy festival circuit, including prominent appearances at Desertfest Oslo.
