Jakarta, Indonesia based atmospheric doom/post-metal project Sunne premiere the first single »Sinna« taken from their upcoming debut album. »Sinna« will be available on all streaming platforms on April 10th, 2026.

Says the band: “»Sinna« is the initial manifestation of Sunne’s sound. Echoing Mount Sinai as aftermath, it talks about people who feel abandoned and start doubting big ideas like hope, religion, or promises of a better future. Implying that belief systems are constantly replaced, reshaped, even manipulated. Faith doesn’t guide, it drifts. As the song circles like an unresolved ritual.”

Jakarta-based post-doom unit Sunne officially released »Sinna«, a single that serves as the introduction to their forthcoming full-length album. »Sinna« is scheduled for release on April 10th, 2026, across all digital streaming platforms.

»Sinna« stands as the first track and the blueprint of the sonic direction Sunne adopts for their upcoming LP. Taking context from the events at Mount Sinai, the track does not focus on the moment itself, but rather on its psychological aftermath. Sunne channels despair, alienation, and a shift in faith following an encounter with something beyond human comprehension, framing it within an existential horror narrative. These ideas are further translated into a sonic form that is atmospheric, heavy, and suffocating.

From a production standpoint, Sunne remains committed to preserving an analog-driven approach, despite incorporating digital processes in post-production. Their sound is largely shaped by tube amplifiers, expansive reverb textures, layered fuzz, and the natural ambience of the room as primary tonal sources. The recording process took place at Kandang Studio, with Ando Loekito handling recording and mixing duties (known for his previous work with Enola, Commit Death and Morgensoll and Better Days).

Sunne is a Jakarta-based band that merges atmospheric drone textures with crushing doom metal riffs. All members originate from outside Jakarta, living as nomadic workers whose transient lives inform the band’s introspective and dissonant sonic identity.
