Indonesian progressive/sludge metal trio Hakkon stream their debut EP, »The Fifth Cessation«, which was released on February 3rd, 2023 via Orange Cliff Records.

A continuation of what was once a bedroom project, Hakkon sees a great deal of promise as a bearer of the vexillum metallum. Blending the abrasive sound of the metal and delightfully-mercurial progression with pop-referenced contemporary aesthetics, Hakkon’s debut EP is quite a fresh take on the rather-saturated genre.

Formed in early 2020 in Bandung, Indonesia. Initially as an studio project from Ferdian G Maulana (guitar/vocals), Hakkon includes former Astrodoom bandmates Adrian (drums/vocals) Fajar Muhammad (bass/vocals).
