Magelang, Indonesia based stoner rock trio Monsterawa presents their new single and lyric video »Agora Fobia«, released on October 26th, 2026.

Says the band: “Agoraphobia is the theme we explore in this song. Agoraphobia – an intense fear or anxiety regarding open spaces – serves as a paradox for our social interpretation and our perspective on everything currently unfolding outside our comfort zones. Even our homes, our bedrooms, our phone screens – places we perceive as far removed from danger – are ultimately not immune to the reach of death. Protracted wars, crime, natural disasters – the streets, or even the vast lots where we park our vehicles, can suddenly transform into profoundly unsafe spaces. How long, then, shall we remain trapped within this paradox of absolute fear, conjured by our own minds?”

Hailing from the vibrant city of Magelang, Central Java (Indonesia), Monsterawa has been making waves in the stoner rock scene since 2015. With their roots deeply entrenched in the rich musical traditions of their homeland, the band effortlessly blends heavy guitar riffs with introspective lyrics, creating a soundscape that is both hypnotic and thought-provoking.

Monsterawa first emerged on the stoner rock circuit with their debut single »Ride« in June 2023. This track laid the groundwork for what fans would come to expect from this formidable group – a blend of raw energy and emotional depth. The success of »Ride« set the stage for their debut EP, »Pareidolia«, released in April 2025, which solidified Monsterawa’s place in the genre. The intricate compositions and reflective themes invited listeners into a world where stoner rock meets sci-fi. »Pareidolia« EP was released on cassette by Tycusgoth Records.
