Bloody Kalma formed in Granada, Spain, in 2023. Originally a four-piece, the band found its true identity after parting ways with their original singer, with Scottish guitarist Jonny Brooks taking over lead vocals while continuing to play guitar.
Jonny first met Argentinian bassist Javier Condito in Javi’s bar in Granada. They bonded instantly over a Primus T-shirt, and a shared love of music quickly turned into a band. Javi brings a lifelong passion for punk rock, inspired by the Ramones, Dead Kennedys and Bad Religion, while Jonny’s influences include Tool, Muse and The Dillinger Escape Plan.
Completing the lineup is Peruvian drummer Cote Calmet, a professional jazz musician whose love of Led Zeppelin adds another layer to the band’s sound.
Three musicians from Scotland, Argentina and Peru, united in Granada, creating heavy, energetic music without boundaries.

The band released their debut album »Kaos As A Weapon Vol. 1« in September 2026.
Bloody Kalma commented: “We are overwhelmed with emotion and immensely proud to finally give life to our creation, »Kaos As A Weapon Vol. 1«.
Despite the hugely challenging process of changing singer and then finding a new drummer for our band, we overcame the roadblocks that tried to stop us.
However, those of us who are chock-full of true grit can never be stifled or cut down – and now there is truly NO STOPPING US!
Enjoy »Kaos As A Weapon« HERE.”
