Leave The Wave is a four-piece grunge rock band from Nicosia, Cyprus, blending raw 90s-inspired grit with stoner and heavy rock influences. Formed from casual jams that grew into a full lineup, the band is known for their emotionally charged sound and unfiltered energy.
Their debut single »Monster« (2022) and first full-length album »Disturbance« (2024) showcase themes of struggle, mental health, and inner chaos, earning them a reputation as Cyprus’ standout grunge act. Comprising a group of talented musicians with a shared passion for raw, emotive music, Leave The Wave has been making waves in the local music scene with their distinctive sound and captivating live performances.

Leave The Wave says about »Monster«:
“The song was inspired by a true story that shocked all of Greece. A story where a mother killed her children one by one. The band did not want to mention names or details. What touched them was the innocence that is lost, the betrayal of absolute trust and the unimaginable darkness that can hide behind a loving face. »Monster« is written from the perspective of a child trying to understand what is happening around him and why the person who should protect him turns into his greatest fear.”
About the song »Control Your Brain«:
“»Control Your Brain« is written from the perspective of the politician himself, arrogant, greedy, and unapologetic. The lyrics speak in the voice of power, openly admitting exploitation, manipulation, and control, treating innocence as weakness and people as tools. Driven by money and dominance, the narrator exposes the brutal mindset behind political authority. The song stands as a dark reflection of modern society and a warning about how easily minds and lives can be controlled.”
