Introducing: A three-piece instrumental stoner/doom band Deadroots from Toronto, Canada!

“We are a three-piece stoner/doom band! Long songs and short titles!”

Deadroots are a Toronto, Ontario based band formed in 2017 and coming to life in late 2021. They began by jamming together and just going off feel, letting the emotion of the sound move the songs and mixing genres such as doom, metal, psychedelic and surf.

At their first show in November 2021 they played two songs and jammed for an encore. The response from the audience was so good that within 4 weeks of the show, Deadroots finished writing and recording their first full-length album.

Deadroots released their self-titled album, »Deadroots«, on July 30, 2022 and followed it up with several shows around the GTA until the end of August.

Summer of 2022 was a success for Deadroots. Starting off the summer early with the long awaited return of Beer Bash 5 in Toronto, followed up by shows in Newmarket, Waterloo, Barrie and Hamilton. Gaining fans and getting great reviews of their album, Deadroots are using the rest of 2022 to begin work on a follow up album and pursue the possibilities of adding a singer.

With 2023 on the horizon the band is seeking to set out on bigger endeavours with touring and playing shows to support their second album release. The band entered the studio to record in late 2022.
