Hailing from Inglewood, California, Serenitus is a death/doom metal solo project formed in 2023 by J.P. (Ceremonium, Lysis, Mist Of Twilight).
After several singles and »Thy Constant Sorrow« EP (2024), Desert Wastelands Productions and Night Terrors Records released Serenitus’ debut album »Tranquility In Insanity« on May 30th, 2025.
»Tranquility In Insanity« delivers 40+ minutes of pure old-school madness spanning across 7 monolithic tracks of slow and claustrophobic doom. A horrendous sonic desecration, dissolving Death Metal into catacombal atmospheres. For fans of Ceremonium, Decomposed, Evoken, Winter, Disembowelment, Candlemass, and Solitude Aeturnus.
All instruments, music and lyrics by J.P. (except »Oizys’ Grasp« lyrics written by G.S.). All songs written and recorded between November 2023 and May 2024.
