Introducing: Four-piece melodic doom/death metal band Welcome To Pleshiwar from Marburg, Germany!

German melodic doom/death metal band Welcome To Pleshiwar was founded by Karsten Goebel in 2021. Very soon other scene veterans Sascha Kaiser, Marco Gebert and Dan Krieger joined this project. They all have played in quite a few bands and projects or are still active in them (Lacrima Christi, Uncut Despite, Immortalis, Reawacan, Bloodjob, Abscess).

Stylistically, Welcome To Pleshiwar is difficult to define. Their influences are definitely 90s death doom masterpieces, which are enriched with progressive passages. Think of bands like Paradise Lost, Tiamat or My Dying Bride, with their older works being the focus.

All band members have experienced the spirit and optimism of this musically formative time live and thus the band carries this music style in their hearts. Welcome To Pleshiwar act far away from the doom/death monotony and every song has a high recognition value and shows an individual, partly also epic note.

When you look at the lyrics by vocalist Sascha, you will see that Welcome To Pleshiwar can also stand out from the masses in this area. In terms of content, the inability of humans to understand acquired knowledge and to apply the resulting logical consequences is dealt with.

In August 2022, Welcome To Pleshiwar self-released their debut EP »Unsolved«, recorded by Andy Classen (Holy Moses, Legion Of The Damned, Disbelief, Krisiun, Dew-Scented) at his Stage One Studio. Very good reviews in magazines such as Deaf Forever, MetalInside, Voices From The Darkside, Zephyrs Odem or Twilight Magazine confirm the band to continue on the path they have taken consistently and uncompromisingly.
