“»Spirit Of The Void« is an intense, emotional experience marked by skilled songwriting and outstanding musicianship, and that deep, passionate Heavy Blues delivery is enough to occasionally call to mind genre heroes like King Buffalo and Elder… Artfully crafted, this album is more than a few stoner rock tunes slapped together for a full-length release. Templeton and Ayers are skilled musicians and songwriters, and Spirit of the Void is an emotive experience marked by powerful drums, frenetic guitars, and carefully layered vocals.” – Patrick Shober at Monster Riff
“Mixing a heavy progressive rock sound with a distinct stoner rock groove, North Carolina’s Stonekind offer up a uniquely haunting sound that must be heard to be fully appreciated. With a fuzzed-out desert rock base to work from, »Spirit Of The Void« mixes genres into a finely balanced witches brew that is sure to delight anyone in search of a new sonic experience… Best experienced, in my opinion, in one solid listen, the musical experience that Stonekind offers up is simply extraordinary. It’s a sound that you can completely lose yourself in.” – Peter Morsellino at The Sludgelord
