Irish sludge/groove metal band Ten Ton Slug released vinyl 2nd pressing of their debut album »Colossal Oppressor«

Galway, Ireland based sludge/groove metal band Ten Ton Slug has just released the vinyl 2nd pressing of their debut album »Colossal Oppressor« on May 1st, 2025, one year to the day from the album’s initial release.

»Colossal Oppressor« features guest vocals from Memoriam/Bolt Thrower frontman Karl Willetts on the track »Brutus« and features original artwork from Adam Burke at Nightjar Illustration.

The second pressing comes in two variant colours:
• limited edition 180gm marble red (limited to 150 units)
• 180gm black vinyl

Ten Ton Slug plays riff-laden sludge metal originating from the depths of Connemara near Galway in the west of Ireland.

Ten Ton Slug have shared a stage with Black Label Society, Crowbar, Corrosion Of Conformity, Memoriam, Conan, Jinjer, and Planet Of Zeus amongst others and over the past few years have earned more and more prominent billings at festivals including Metaldays, Bloodstock and Hammerfest, bringing the band’s memorable and powerful live performances to ever larger audiences.

Their highly-anticipated debut full-length album »Colossal Oppressor« was released on May 1st 2024. »Colossal Oppressor« represents a natural progression from previous releases, EP’s »Brutal Gluttonous Beast« (2016), »Blood & Slime« (2017) and single »Hunting Ground« (2019), with an increased focus on songwriting and dynamics, yet still featuring the trademark huge riffs and pummelling drums that have come to characterise the sound of the Slug.
