Italian death/doom metal band Shrieking Demons drops new single »Perennial Dirge« taken from their debut full-length album, »The Festering Dwellers«, set to release on January 31st, 2025 via Transcending Obscurity Records.

Featuring current and former members of Assumption, Bottomless, Haemophagus, Becerus, Sleeping Dark, Thysia, Cancer Spreading, Gravesite, Terror Firmer and more.

Shrieking Demons play death metal in the classic style with emphasis on riffs, delivery, and feeling rather than just crazed speed and technicality. Even though influenced by legends such as Autopsy, Death, Possessed and others, it’s ironically refreshing to listen to music played with such fervour and devotion which adds new life to it. It takes you back to the time when you first came across death metal music, especially the filthy kind, and went through a whole range of emotions and gesticulations.

Shrieking Demons evoke similar feelings which is only possible because of the passion with which they’ve pieced this together, taking the best elements of what made those albums unforgettable and giving it their own treatment. The fact that the members have a fair bit of experience playing this kind of music only adds credibility, with them being in bands like Assumption and also other filthy bands in the past such as Haemophagus, Morbo, Undead Creep and Gravesite.
