Venice, Italy based doom metal band Kröwnn return with their fourth full-lenght album, »Santa Somnia«, which will be released on February 13th, 2026 via Subsound Records.

The mind becomes an ancient dungeon, its staircases spiraling into realms where whispers move like beasts and forgotten fears wear the masks of guardians. Each chamber opens with a riddle, each corridor bends toward an unseen omen. The descent is a pact: a silent vow to face the creatures born from one’s own fractures. In this labyrinth of murmured dread, paranoia takes form, breathing in the dark, waiting to be named. Only those who dare to go deeper discover whether the final door leads to revelation… or to the echo of their own undoing.

»Santa Somnia« is an imaginary saint, shaped like a medieval folktale figure, who steals the sleep and childhood creativity of his victims to feed a kingdom of oblivion and torment.
The album’s lyrics follow the journey of a protagonist stripped of rest and innocence, wandering through a decaying dreamworld reminiscent of Dark Souls, Bloodborne, and Elden Ring. »Santa Somnia« becomes an allegory of lost hope and the crushing weight of adulthood, drawing further thematic influence from the bleak darkness of Kentaro Miura’s Berserk.
»Santa Somnia« is a sonic trip through a crumbling psyche – drenched in despair and shadows – ruled by the struggle against madness brought on by sleeplessness, the inner torment of depression, and the inevitable, sometimes merciful, pull of death.
The influence of FromSoftware and Berserk emerges through the album’s cryptic, oppressive storytelling, where the line between nightmare and reality barely exists.
While rooted in the band’s earlier works, the sound of »Santa Somnia« blends the crushing weight of doom metal with classic and thrash metal elements and injections of punk-rock melody, mirroring the emotional instability and mental agony woven throughout the lyrics.
