Italian funeral doom metal solo project Scent Of Darkness return with a brand new two-track EP, »Memoria In Tenebris«, which was just released on May 16th, 2026.

»Memoria In Tenebris« is an instrumental EP exploring death as memory, emotional trace, and inner reflection.

Through melancholic atmospheres, ritualistic heaviness, and immersive dynamics, the two compositions – »Bonae Memorie« and »Vulnerant Omnes, Ultima Necat« – guide the listener through a contemplative journey of time, loss, and dissolution.

All digital proceeds will be donated to Rock For Children association, in support of abused children.

Scent Of Darkness is a funeral doom metal solo project from Turin, Italy.

The project, led by mastermind Gianluca Moreo, started in 2018 and was resurrected in February 2026.

The band’s debut release, »Insanitude« (2020), was originally issued via the Brescia-based label Masked Dead Records, showcasing the project’s intense and dark sonic identity. In 2023, the album saw a reissue through Nero Corvino, further solidifying its impact within the underground metal community.
