“It’s about a solitary traveler, condemned to long suffering, depicting life as a journey suspended between a painful past and an uncertain future, where the Requiem is not just a funeral dirge for what has been lost, but the prelude to an inner victory and the entrance into a new world. In short, it is a hymn to the strength of the human spirit which, even while crossing the abyss of sadness and pain, continues to walk toward its redemption and eternal peace.”
It’s been almost 10 years since their last album »Deathrising« and Motus Tenebrae return to make their voice heard in the most powerful, dark and full of pathos way possible with a new album that treasures the legacy of that work, enriching it with new nuances and atmospheres, creating their most mature, most emotional and most decadent work in their 25 years of career.
Andrea, bassist and longtime founding member of the band, tells us: “It’s been a really long time since our last release, and we’re so happy that My Kingdom Music believed in us and gave us the chance to make a strong return to the world scene. »In Sorrow’s Requiem« is for us a sad and melancholic chant woven from despair, longing, and the fading light of hope.
