Genoa, Italy based heavy doom band ExpiatoriA has announced »Shadows – Live«, a limited edition hand-numbered cassette where they play their debut album »Shadows« in full. This live album will be released next Friday, September 6th, 2024 via Diamonds Prod.

Italian heavy doom veterans ExpiatoriA publish »Shadows – Live«, their entire debut album, on cassette (limited edition, Diamonds Prod.)
ExpiatoriA are an Italian heavy doom band and they’re proud to present »Shadows – Live«, where they play their entire debut album »Shadows«, which was published in 2022.
The concert was recorded in the band’s hometown, Genoa, during a concert that took place at L’Angelo Azzurro on 16 March 2024 and it showcases the power and energy the band can unleash on stage.
The cassette will be available in 111 copies only of a limited edition and hand-numbered cassette. The album contains all the songs of the debut album, a new song plus a juicy bonus track.
»Shadows – Live« will be published by Diamonds Prod. on Friday 6 September 2024 in cassette as well as on Bandcamp during Bandcamp Friday.

“Two years have passed since we published our debut album »Shadows«, two great years where we played a lot of gigs and could make a lot of dreams come true already. During this time, the songs of »Shadows« have matured with us and they got enriched with new arrangements.
If we add that only the Malachina brothers, who also founded the band in 1987, are left of the line-up that recorded the album two years ago, it is clear that the need to publish a more current and powerful version of »Shadows« was very strong.
And what better idea than publishing a very raw rendition of our debut album? We didn’t touch the songs in the studio to make them sound right or to correct our mistakes, so what you hear is 100% of what ExpiatoriA are on stage,” states the band.
The concert was captured through the mixer, something which allowed the band to get a faithful sound of what happened at L’Angelo Azzurro that night. The band aimed to keep their sound and execution unadulterated, so the publication keeps a very authentic feeling.
»Shadows – Live« was recorded during the gig that took place at Genoa’s L’Angelo Azzurro on 16 March 2024, when the band shared the stage with Heavenfall and Hell Theater.

Each copy of the cassette will include a Bandcamp code to download and listen to the album in digital format.
