Oblivion Vortex is a newly formed heavy doom band, featuring musicians with a long experience. The line up is formed by Andrea Marchisio (Highlord, Desdemona, Warnipples) on vocals, Marco Campanati (Extinction) on guitars, Stefano Sofia (Hellbound) on bass, and Claudio Rostagno (Ivory) on drums.
»Into Oblivion« is the first, self-produced release of the band, a 4-tracks EP that fully represents its musical proposal. The tracks display all the features of group, a doom influenced heay metal with epic hints and catchy melodies. The songwriting pays homage to the ’80s and ’90s masterpieces of the genre, yet sounding fresh and original.
The CD was recorded, mixed and mastered in January 2024 at Elnor Studio (Cassano Magnago, MI) by Mattia Stancioiu (Labyrinth, Crown Of Autumn, Vision Divine, and many others).
The artwork for the EP, as well as the band’s logo, were designed by Stefano Toderico.
Oblivion Vortex are now planning some gigs to promote the new EP and their music; the band is also interested in a record deal for the future production of its music on a full-lenght.
