Italian heavy fuzz rock duo Black Black Istanbul presents their sophomore full-length album »No Brakes«

Sardinia, Italy based heavy fuzz rock duo Black Black Istanbul are back with their sophomore full-length album, »No Brakes«, which was released on July 28th, 2026.

Black Black Istanbul is a fuzz rock and alternative rock duo from Seneghe, Sardinia. Formed in 2017, they chose their name because they were fascinated by bands named after cities and the aesthetic of touring acts featured on KEXP. Their raw, powerful fuzz rock sound draws inspiration from bands like Black Sabbath, Royal Blood, and garage/psych rock master Ty Segall.

Their self-titled debut EP was written and recorded between April and November 2017. In January 2018, the band released their first single, »Bad Kong«, accompanied by a video directed by Luca Manunza. The release was followed by their debut EP through independent label Oh Dear Records in March 2018.

Black Black Istanbul released the singles »Wake Up And Run« (February 2022) and »I’m Not Ready For The Guns« (August 2022). In June 2023, they performed as the opening act for Skunk Anansie at the Fiera di Cagliari. They also released their full-length debut album »Driving Full Throttle« in 2023.

In July 2026, Black Black Istanbul returned with their second studio album »No Brakes«. The record developed over about a year and was finished in the first part of 2026. Eight high-energy tracks resume the journey that started on their previous album – without frills and straight to the point as they like it.
