Four years after the release of their album »Moongazer« (2022, New Heavy Sounds), Tenebra have announced their new EP »A Death Chant«, due out on October 9th, 2026 via New Heavy Sounds.

This new release from the Bologna-based band marks an experimental shift from their usual rock sound, venturing into psychedelic and electronic territory.

Synths, acoustic instruments and sound manipulation coexist with the band’s signature traits, expanding their sonic vocabulary to produce results never before heard in their discography.

»A Death Chant« is a preview of the new album, »The Black Fanfare«, due for release in 2027.

Tenebra are a four-piece formed in Bologna in 2017. Claudio (bass), Emilio (guitar), and Mesca (drums) come from the hardcore and post-hardcore (Settlefish, Assumption, ED) scene that gravitated around Atlantide Occupata in Bologna; Silvia, on vocals, has a background more closely linked to the underground rock of the 1960s and 1970s. Together they play a heavy rock sound loaded with eclectic influences. They debut in 2019 with the album ‘Gen Nero’. In spring 2021 they sign to UK label New Heavy Sounds (Black Moth, MWWB, Black Lab, Vôdûn), releasing the EP »What We Do Is Sacred« (2021) for the label. April 2022 brings the new album »Moongazer«, featuring Gary Lee Conner of Screaming Trees.
