In 2019, the band released their debut EP, »Phenicopters«, solidifying their reputation as a fresh force in the alternative rock scene. Following years of live performances and songwriting, Plasticdrop unveiled the first single from their upcoming album in October 2024, shortly before signing with Argonauta Records.
Plasticdrop’s sound is rooted in alternative rock, post-grunge, and hard rock, with touches of stoner rock and punk rock. Their new album reflects their musical evolution, combining heavy and melodic elements to craft songs that are emotionally charged and sonically bold. The lyrics delve into themes ranging from personal relationships and the isolation tied to their island upbringing, to broader societal critique and introspection.
“This album represents a new chapter for us,” the band explains. “We’ve embraced a rawer, more authentic sound that reflects where we are now – not just as musicians, but as people. We can’t wait for everyone to hear it.”
