Milan, Italy based instrumental sludge/doom metal band Sacri Suoni (formerly known as Stoned Monkey) presents their debut album, »Sacred Is Not Divine«, which was just released on May 16h, 2023.

Tracklist:
01. Doom Perspection Of The Astral Frequency (0-1)
02. Six Scalps For Six Sounds
03. Cult Of Abysmus
04. Plutomb, Engraved In Reality

Sacri Suoni comments: “»Sacred Is Not Divine« is out everywhere! After years of hard work and experimentation, we are proud to present our sonic vision to the world. We want to thank from the bottom of our hearts all the people who have been with us on this long journey and believed in the project from its inception. At the same time, we also thank those who didn’t believe in the project, as the obstacles we encountered have only been a reason for us to keep going.

We believe that music should unite, bond, and make people dream. Perhaps one day, this will truly be perceived and executed, rather than just talked about.

Cassettes and long sleeves are on their way, and we will start fulfilling pre-orders from June 1st. We will also soon be opening pre-orders for the vinyl edition in collaboration with Zann’s Records.”

“Our music is a mystical experience that embraces listeners with dark, psychedelic, and hypnotic sounds enriched by a melancholy that permeates every note. The sound that characterize the project is a reflection of our way of life and approach to life, an authentic expression of our being.”

From the ashes of stoner/sludge project known as Stoned Monkey arises Sacri Suoni and after 4 years of hard work they are very glad to announce their brand new album.

»Sacred Is Not Divine« is the starting point for a research for new sounds full of cosmic darkness, also polluted by sparks of psychedelic and sickness.

The entire work comes from a reflection about the sound and its several potentialities when coming to communication and expression.

The band don’t need a voice in order to express themselves, they comunicate through sound waves and flow of electrons.

The name of the album aims to evoke a certain sensation in the listener’s mind.

The band elaborates: “What is sound is sacred, and we kneel on this immensity made of research and experimentation. The sound establishes the order among things, but at the same time it’s source of chaos, becoming for us a clear example to follow in a context of spirituality and constant need.

Only the sound satisfied us, feeds us, nourishes and supports us through our lives; don’t believe in what is said to be divine, the sacred concept of creation is louder than it may seems to be.

Through 4 songs and 40 minutes of listening we want to evoke strong sensations in the listeners, which are able to communicate feelings of immensity and dispersion while sharing a sense of renewal and discovery of ourselves.”
