Piacenza, Italy based psychedelic hard rock band Desert Twelve premiere their brand new album, »The Last Dark Wood«, which was just released today, June 20th, 2024 via Orzorock Music.

The title refers to the last sacred wood, an oasis of truth and virtue, which was made between 1520 and 1560 by an Italian nobleman for his wife who died prematurely.

»The Last Dark Wood« explores esoteric and spiritual themes, talking about contact with nature (the eponymous track »The Last Dark Wood«), presenting mythological characters from Mediterranean popular culture (»Echidna«, mother of Cerberus), mixed with elements belonging to the Nordic world (»The Dragon«). A sacred and dark magical place, as the Desert Twelve’s album is intended to be.

»The Last Dark Wood« is a journey into that sound world of hard rock, psychedelia and stoner, all filtered through the personality of the five musicians from Piacenza.

Biography:
Desert Twelve was born in Piacenza in 2021 by guitarist Gabriele ‘Gaby’ Finotti, formerly in Misfatto, a historic band from Piacenza still active today. The band currently consists of Davide Radicelli (bass), Luca Dabergami (drums), Alex Viti (guitar), Vittoria Ipri (vocals) and Gabriele Finotti. Their self-titled debut album was released on June 29, 2022 by Orzorock Music.
