Bologna, Italy based death/doom/sludge metal outfit Entrøpia has released their debut album »Down In The Swamp Of Human Bleakness« on October 16th, 2025 via Ostia Records.

Entrøpia commented: “Eternal thanks to Freakout Club for hosting this descent, and to Guerri for shaping the debris into something that hurts in the right places. Artwork by Daniel Hartman, who made our bleakness visible. Inner poster illustration by Stiv (Visions Of War). All songs written by Entrøpia, except »Bite It You Scum«. We deliberately rewrote the lyrics – originally by GG Allin & The Murder Junkies – because the original words were cringe as fuck. There’s nothing sacred in punk, and that’s exactly why we spit on your idols. We don’t pray, we don’t worship, and we sure as hell don’t excuse misogyny just because it’s wearing a crusty leather jacket. Smash the pedestal. If your identity relies on being a tough guy, you’re probably just a scared little boy.

This shit was recorded live during the damp, empty days of early January at Freakout Club, Bologna. Mixed and mastered with raw care by Davide Guerri. This record was never meant to save anyone. It’s the sound of four broken minds clinging to feedback and heaviness, trying to make sense of a life that constantly slips through our hands. We came together, each carrying our own addictions, ghosts, and burdens – and in this noise we tore ourselves open, only to emerge with more wounds, but also more clarity. This is our form of collective catharsis: ugly, loud, unfiltered. We don’t know if there’s a light at the end of this tunnel, but we know we’re deep in it – and silence would kill us faster.”

»Down In The Swamp Of Human Bleakness« is available on LP vinyl, produced by Ostia Records (OS016) and released in October 2026. The record is pressed on black vinyl and red vinyl, the latter in a slightly transparent variant.
