Salerno, Italy based stoner/doom/drone/noise solo project Nightscape by Guglielmo Allegro (Void Sinker) is back with new EP, »Sakura«, which was just released on April 24th, 2026.

An approach more influenced by experimental shoegaze sounds further enriches the project’s sound, the fruit of months of methodical research.

More open and lighter yet characterized by its own distinctive sound, this four-track EP fully embraces the project’s influences from the rising sun to offer yet another meditative experience for a sunny spring afternoon in peace.

Let yourself be transported by the sweet notes of this release, lulled by its melodic breeze.

I thought about it, and very often, when I put together my baritone guitar, these hypnotic shoegaze- and doomgaze-inspired riffs would come out. They reminded me a lot of Boris’ »Flood II«, one of their favorite albums.

So I decided to experiment, and from that experiment I created this EP. I hope you enjoy it!”

Nightscape is a project born from the mind of Guglielmo Allegro (drummer for Goliathan, Hypervenom and founder of the solo project Void Sinker).

The project deviates from the sounds of the previous ones with a greater psychedelic stoner doom drone post-rock influence similar to Earth, Boris, Bong and other similar projects.

The result is an experiment that blends minimalism with slow and constant rhythms together with relaxing clean sounds accompanied by hypnotic aggressive distortions fused with a constant use of delays and reverbs.
