Italian stoner rockers El Rojo share a lyric video for the new version of »Cactus Bloom« featuring NikMartken

Morano Calabro, Italy based stoner rockers El Rojo have released a lyric video for the new version of »Cactus Bloom« featuring their friend and fellow musician NikMartken.

The track originally comes from the band’s latest studio album »El Diablo Rojo«, released in November 2020 via Karma Conspiracy Records.

The band comments: “To celebrate »El Diablo Rojo«’s anniversary, we decided to release a special version of »Cactus Bloom« featuring our friend and fellow musician NikMartken. After the first jam, this ‘helpless version’ came out quite naturally: »Cactus Bloom« had already a powerful soul… He simply added a bit of his tastes to the heavy sound of El Rojo.”

NikMartken is an Italian drummer and poli-percussionist obsessed with rhythm and all rhythmic instruments. His musical experience with percussions started at 16 with his first cheap drumset and, since then, he has expanded the percussive collection with new ‘toys’ from all over the world. Years later his greatest dream came true: playing the Handpan, and with it, a whole new world was discovered.

Mixed and mastered at Monolith Recording studio by Filippo Buono.

El Rojo’s approach to stoner/desert rock is metaphoric: this kind of music was born near Californian desert, their music grows up in an environment in progressive desertification. They chose to use this sound to empower their vision, making the band’s message stronger. People moves out to search his fortune somewhere, making this land increasingly poor. In people and in values. Proud sons of Calabria born in 2016.

El Rojo are:
Evo Borruso – Vocals
Fabrizio Miceli – Guitar
Fabrizio Vuerre – Guitar
Pasquale Carapella – Bass
Antonio Rimolo – Drums
