Preacher, the rising stoner doom metal trio hailing from Padang, Indonesia, has released their debut EP, titled »Spiritual Guide«, in February 2026. Born out of skate culture and fueled by heavy sonic experimentation, the three-piece band delivers a crushing, psychedelic journey through deep riffs and mystical storytelling.

Formed by lifelong friends Dhede (guitar), Halim (bass/vocals), and Habib (drums), Preacher began as a group of skateboarders jamming together in their local scene. Over time, their shared passion for heavy music evolved into a distinct blend of slow, hypnotic stoner metal and monolithic doom riffs.

»Spiritual Guide« serves as a conceptual musical odyssey. The EP follows the narrative of a traveler embarking on a surreal journey to a mythical destination known as “Juanaland,” guided through the sonic haze by the enigmatic figure of the Preacher.

“We wanted to create an atmosphere that feels like a heavy, spiritual trip,” says the band. “The transition from skating together to locking into a heavy groove felt natural. »Spiritual Guide« is the first chapter of our sonic ritual, and we are ready to take listeners into the depths of Juanaland.”

Featuring massive basslines, thunderous drumming, and fuzz-drenched guitar work, the EP establishes Preacher as a powerful new force in the Southeast Asian heavy music underground.

»Spiritual Guide« EP is now available on all major streaming platforms.
