“A nocturnal broadcast defined as ‘Doom Noir’.”

Written and recorded during the bewitching hours of 1 AM to 4 AM, Nattradio’s debut creates a nocturnal broadcast, weaving emotional resonance and dark, melancholic atmospheres. The band aptly describes their sound as “Doom Noir” which provides a unique artistic journey.

Martin (vocals) and Niklas (guitar), the founding duo, are making a return to the scene under the moniker Nattradio. In recent years, Martin has established himself as a solo artist under the name Martin Rubashov, and most recently, he collaborated on the project Nolavær alongside Anders Fridén (In Flames). Martin has also lent his voice to In Flames through background vocals. Meanwhile, Niklas has continued to develop in the art scene with several exhibitions, including participation in the current Liljevalchs Spring Exhibition 2024.

Nattradio builds upon the melancholic style of 90s gothic doom metal, offering a modern interpretation of darkness and despair. Written & recorded during the nocturnal hours of 1 AM to 4 AM. A soundtrack for personal and global apocalypses, the melancholic expressions function as a nocturnal radio, providing a way to confront oneself when no one else is present.
