»Breathing Cargo« is a sophomore offering from Sinamort – a Lithuanian progressive doom metal quartet, pushing the boundries of classical death/doom formula and merging it with more modern strains of progressive metal. Cyclic in nature, »Breathing Cargo« explores turmoil of personal, but also historic impact. Expanded further in all directions, it will take you on a journey through intense pummeling of instrumental grandeur, structural unorthodoxy and hissings of emotional pneumatic brakes.

Overarching sounds of train locomotion that provides the structure for the main pillars of the album were chosen as symbols related to the death of God at the first half of the XX century, resulting in replacement of religious foundations for societies with atheistic ideologies, many of which created an unprecedented levels of suffering.

One such instance was mass deportation and extermination of certain groups of individuals based on their education, political beliefs, wealth or race, carried out in multiple locations at the same timee, often utilizing cattle wagons and transporting humans as cargo. Philosophical underpinnings of this phenomenon and concrete experiences of exile or imprisonment make up the conceptual foundation of »Breathing Cargo«.

However, as with the debut »The Idle Veil«, the album also highlights personal explorations of grief and its relation to historical traumas. »Breathing Cargo« is out June 15th, 2026.
