Doom-tinged heavy metal featuring members of 1968, Decomposed, Oak, Mourn, Blood Island Raiders, Brule and Mocho Diablo, Flamebearer, fronted by current 1968 vocalist Andrew Valiant, are inspired by classic 70s rock, 80s metal and more. Sabbath to Angel Witch to Trouble via Celtic Frost and The Cult. Doom inspired but energetic-big riffs and bigger choruses!

Hailing from London, Flamebearer hit the scene in 2022 with a demo and an EP produced by Wayne Adams at Bear Bites Horse (Green Lung/PetBrick/11 Paranoias) and a flurry of gigs with the likes of IronVoid, Inhuman Nature, Underdark and BlindRiver. Alongside Andrew, the band are completed by ex-Age of Taurus/Mourn/Blood Island Raiders guitarist Alastair Riddell, Yorkshire-native Dom Bailey on bass and the incredibly hard-hitting Thiago Pinho from Brazil on drums.

October 2022 saw the release of the bands first EP »Fire On The Horizon« to critical acclaim. »Fire On The Horizon« was accompanied by the promo video to the first single Tears Of Angels directed by Paul Cooke (Dir: Ithaca »Camera Eats First«, »They Fear Us«).

Flamebearer kicked off 2023 in style by releasing their raucous version on the infamous »Wild Child« by W.A.S.P., further establishing their 80s metal influences but also brazen attitude to playing ‘dated’ songs with passion and vigour. The band performed »Wild Child« to much excitement at the now firmly established Masters Of The Riff festival at Oslo East London in March. »Wild Child« is still performed to much delight at Flamebearer shows to this day.

In May Flamebearer hit the studio once again to record their debut album »Brazen«. With Wayne Adams once again at the helm, Flamebearer have produced a full-length slab of glorious riff action and soaring rock choruses, not holding back an inch and firmly delivering the goods, echoing their hard fought live reputation.

Following two weeks in the studio the quartet rampaged across East Anglia with local crust doom legends Commoner and the ever conquering Old Horn Tooth on a successful outing bringing their particular brand of rock n roll madness to the sticks.

With an extensive rebrand, Flamebearer have grown into a sharper, cleaner beast and are now keen to press on with a clear formula for success and creativity, combining stellar live performances with well crafted hooky as f*** songs.

The first single from »Brazen« was »Taste Hell«, a punchy, catchy blast depicting the horrors of a crashing love affair. Supported with a haunting video »Taste Hell« will have audiences banging the nut and chanting along with its infectious grooves.
