Human Worth are stoked to present the second single from ferocious noise rock duo Modern Technology’s new full-length »Conditions Of Worth«. Pre-order now, with a portion of proceeds donated to charity: modern-technology.bandcamp.com.

Set against a stark environment, the video, directed by the band’s Chris Clarke, explores the song’s themes of environmental degradation and our exploitation of the earth, as a direct comparison to a contaminated social conscious – largely choosing self perseveration and greed over collective progress. The video’s footage of natural and man-made disasters represent a mankind so poisoned, that we are merely fanning the flames at this point. A sense of absolution is among us, and it’s exactly what we deserve – we are all Icarus, and we were all warned.

Chris Clarke says of the video: “Amongst all the tracks on the album, I have a very deep connection to this one. Working on the visual articulation of this track was a chance to pull on another emotive lever, and capture the full sentiment of this song. And one that I hope resonates with others.”

»Salvation« is the second single from Modern Technology’s new record »Conditions Of Worth«, which is now available to pre-order as a limited heavyweight 180g vinyl, with 10% of all proceeds donated to charity Choose Love.

Southern UK based sludgy noise rock duo Modern Technology return with a sound deceptively larger, louder and noisier than one could expect. The duo of Chris Clarke (bass, vocals and synth) and Owen Gildersleeve (drums) announce their second full-length album »Conditions Of Worth« through the band’s own rising Brighton, UK based leftfield heavy label Human Worth. Encapsulating influences of ’90s Touch & Go era noise rock, the grubby grit of sludge metal, and the ferociousness of post-hardcore – Modern Technology will hit you with the same energy and volume as their lauded live shows. Marching forwards as thoughtful as they are sonically unhinged, »Conditions Of Worth« takes the duo’s voiced concerns and socially conscious outlooks further and louder, tackling issues including mental health, the effects of austerity, societal degradation, and the ever increasing climate emergency. The album has been produced and recorded by Misha Hering at Holy Mountain Studios, capturing Modern Technology’s most ferocious, dense, textured and atmospheric offerings to date.

»Conditions Of Worth« will be released through Human Worth this October 13th on transparent “Utility Yellow” vinyl and digital formats. 10% of sales proceeds will go towards registered charity Choose Love – providing humanitarian aid, search, rescue and legal advice to refugees and displaced people across the globe. Modern Technology still serves as the label’s contextual backbone in their explorations of experimental noise rock, avant-metal and angular hardcore. Proving themselves to be a sought after act with their uncompromising live performances, the duo have performed live up and down the UK with contemporaries including Luminous Bodies, Teeth Of The Sea, Part Chimp, Thank, OHHMS, Bruxa Maria and more, as well as appearing at Raw Power Festival.

“Their death knell for a self-obsessed society, where we consume endlessly until we’re literally bursting at the seams and leaving behind nothing but drought, famine, and waste.” ~ CVLT Nation

“If the forthcoming collapse of British society be articulated via musical means it would probably sound like this. A grinding noise-rock bellow that mirrors the violent despair of Oxbow and the fatalist density of Big|Brave.” ~ Noizze
