Maggot Heart premiere a brand new music video for »Roses« from their latest album »Mercy Machine«

Maggot Heart premiere a brand new music video for »Roses« from their latest album, »Mercy Machine«, out now via Rapid Eye Records. Video is directed by Linnéa Olsson.

Maggot Heart are also announced for this year’s digital edition of the legendary Roadburn Festival April 16-18! The band comments:
“We haven’t been on stage since our last US tour in October 2019, and we’ve been dying to play the songs off »Mercy Machine« live. It’s an honour to finally be able to present a few of these tracks at Roadburn Redux, in a setting that speaks of who we are as a band. We’ll channel everything we’ve got – tune in and turn on.”

Maggot Heart is the brainchild of Swedish guitarist, vocalist and songwriter Linnéa Olsson (ex-The Oath, ex-Grave Pleasures, ex-Beastmilk, ex-Sonic Ritual).

Maggot Heart debuted with the EP »City Girls« in 2017, followed by the 2018 full-length album »Dusk To Dusk«. Together with drummer Uno Bruniusson (ex-In Solitude, Grave Pleasures, Procession) and bassist Olivia Airey, Maggot Heart has become much talked-about force in the underground with their extensive touring (alongside bands like Earthless and Voivod), cross-over hard rock sound, and punk ethos. Maggot Heart’s second full-length effort »Mercy Machine« was released in July 2020 on Rapid Eye Records.

The city as a throbbing organism is one of the fundamental themes of Maggot Heart. On »Mercy Machine«, the machinery of night runs on the steam of many bodies. Locked inside a prison of flesh the spirit will not soar, only in unity with the body can divine alchemy be achieved. »Mercy Machine« is a rock album about sex, death and the pursuit of freedom.
