Hailing from Styria, Austria, Mandaground stands for three properties: melody, energy and synergy. The trio moves skillfully between the genre boundaries and plays around progressive metal with stoner rock and sludge borrowings. They combine dreamy guitar solos with black metal-like parts and a distorted bass base. The 7 tracks on the almost three quarters of an hour album do not allow a quick listen.
