Maudits are back with »Fall Over«, the first single from their eagerly awaited third album »In Situ«, set for release on November 7, 2025.
A cinematic, rich, and unclassifiable post-metal experience, »Fall Over« will resonate with fans of Godspeed You! Black Emperor, Opeth, Hans Zimmer, and Portishead alike. The track blends doom-laden riffs, dark ambient atmospheres, and strings that oscillate between haunting dissonance and melancholy, all wrapped in enigmatic textures.
Guitarist Olivier Dubuc reflects on the track’s journey: “»Fall Over« was composed and partially recorded during the Précipice sessions in 2023, and it clearly became the starting point for the creation of »In Situ«. It only reached its final form recently, during the sessions for this new record. By leaving it out of the final tracklist of our previous album, we immediately knew it would be used for a future release. This track is very representative of our musical approach, blending doom elements, dark ambient, and strings that shift between dissonance and melancholy, all immersed in strange textures. We’re therefore thrilled to present it today as our first single.”
