Teonanácatl is a Mexican progressive rock band born in Mexico City in 2023.

»Mycelium« is Teonanácatl’s first full-length album, combining the band’s historical roots with their current influences.

It touches upon social, personal, and philosophical themes, blending the rhythms the band encountered on the outskirts of Mexico City – and this is the result.

The title refers to the underground network that keeps everything connected – known as mycelium – serving as a metaphor for a network that humanity should take as an example.

Everything is interconnected underground before it blossoms on the surface.

Recorded between April and June 2026 by Diego Pacheco & Aldo Pacheco at Coyote Cosmico Studios and Jorge Trejo at Rec On Studio. Mixed and mastered by Jorge Trejo. Artwork by @wol_06.
