Bufo Alvarius is a Mexican stoner rock and sludge metal band formed in 2024 in Ocotlán, Jalisco. They took their name from a species of toad from the Sonoran Desert, which is famous for its psychedelic secretions. The band’s musical style is characterized by heavy, psychedelic atmospheres, noisy effects using dense fuzz, delays and hypnotic echoes, complemented by rough, heartbreaking vocals.
