Mexican sludge metal quartet Fumata featuring members of Vinnum Sabbathi, Terror Cósmico and El Escuadrón de la Muerte stream their second studio album, »Días Aciagos«, which dropped on October 7th, 2022.

Fumata is a 4 piece sludge metal band from Mexico, formed in 2016 by Javier Alejandre, Maximo Mateo, Leonardo Cardoso & Juan Tamayo. Their sound is characterized by the extensive use of pessimistic and misanthropic references on their lyrics (all in spanish), accompanied by heavy riffs.

In 2017 their debut Album »La Perfección de la Muerte« is released under Concreto Records, with a supporting tour in Mexico. During 2019 the band plays their first European tour with +20 shows across 9 countries, including Rotormania in Germany. That same year a split album in collaboration with Hungary’s Torn from Earth is released on vinyl.

In 2020 Fumata headlines Doom City Fest in Mexico City, along with acts like Amenra, The Obsessed & Mantar, as well as opening for Brujería and playing Nrmal Festival.

After a +2 year hiatus due pandemic, the band returns with their second Album titled »Días Aciagos« (dark/doomed days), with heavier music topped with even more depressive & misanthropic vibes.

»Días Aciagos« was recorded, mixed and mastered by KB at Testa Estudio in León, Mexico.
Artwork comes from the South American artist Bryan Maita.
