Toluca, Mexico based stoner/doom/sludge band Tolot has just released their debut album »Mictlán« independently on November 2nd, 2025.

In 2014, Tolot emerged from Toluca, Mexico, behind an impenetrable wall of distortion and high decibels. From the beginning, they have sought their sound by drawing inspiration from Mexica and Matlatzinca mythology.

Tolot’s debut full-length »Mictlán« is a sonic descent through the nine levels of the Mexican underworld. A journey across landscapes of darkness, ice, and obsidian, where every riff, every rhythm, and every scream evoke the soul’s passage toward its final liberation.
