Described as raw, gloomy and heavy, Myopic Empire has long lurked in the underground of modern doom metal. After a demo and an EP that saw them explore their sound, the release of 2019’s »Road To Ruin« marked the emergence of a unique artist. »Road To Ruin« featured fresh songwriting ideas, with constant overtones of pessimism and sadness.
In 2020, »The Last Fire« marked a shift in songwriting ideas, maintaining the raw doom sound but adding grandiose song intros and prog-influenced structures.
In 2025, the final part of a the trilogy of albums was released, titled »The Changed World«. »The Changed World« closes the story of the end of the world and we see what has happened to the characters in the story. Myopic Empire’s songwriting has evolved further, encompassing instrumental, progressive sections and country and blues influences.

A unique artist, Myopic Empire has a long-term collaborative partnership with ArTess Designs, a digital artist who produces artwork and animated videos for the band. The videos portray elements of an ongoing story told by the band’s concept albums, from »Road To Ruin« onwards.
