New Orleans, Louisiana based doom/sludge metal trio Gatsu share a music video for »Black Cleaver« taken from their latest single, »The Forging / Black Cleaver«, released on June 24th, 2025.

Gatsu channels raw alternative energy into classic sludge and doom metal. Inspired by bands
such as High On Fire and Acid Bath, Gatsu Was formed in New Orleans by vocalist and guitarist Nicholas Troncoso, who led the charge with the »Boisvert« EP in April 2023.The band gained their full sound with Max Thyre’s heavy bass, and Josh Lehl’s relentless drumming.
