New Orleans doomgaze band Gatsu is back with their new music video and EP »Hymns From The Abyss« which is now streaming on all platforms! Video shot and edited by Mitch Wells.

Though similar to classic New Orleans sludge metal groups, Gatsu is more akin to alternative and psychedelic metal and rock bands such as Windhand, My Bloody Valentine, and Electric Wizard; containing a much wider range of influence that reflects the bands personal taste.

Blending elements of melancholic doom metal, alternative rock, and shoegaze; Gatsu sets themselves apart from the typical sludge metal band. In 2024, Gatsu released their single »I Must Scream« which immediately set the precedent for the band’s sound and helped garner metal underground attention online. On July 24, 2026, they released their debut EP »Hymns From The Abyss«.
