New York atmospheric doom/stoner rock act The Do Nothing Machine presents their new EP »The Silence Between Orbits«

Brooklyn, New York based atmospheric doom/stoner rock act The Do Nothing Machine is back with their new EP, »The Silence Between Orbits«, which was released on March 20th, 2026.
Tracklist:
01. Everything Sleeps But The Engine
02. Hollow Moon
03. Echoes Of A Forgotten God
04. Drones
05. The Silence Between Orbits
In the final days of a dying solar system, a lone terraforming engine, once worshiped as divine, continues its work long after its creators have perished. Orbiting alone, it emits signals mistaken by distant listeners as the lamentations of a forgotten deity. These transmissions reverberate through deep space, attracting scavengers, zealots, and machines alike. As they gather around the signal, some become infected with a strange melancholy embedded in the engine’s decaying messages. Eventually, the transmissions cease, leaving an eerie sense that something ancient, and perhaps sentient, has finally gone to sleep. For the best listening experience, please use headphones.
Released March 20, 2026. All songs were written and recorded by The Do Nothing Machine.

Inspired by Herta Müller’s novel »The Fox Was Ever the Hunter«, »Face Without Face« is the ninth release from the Brooklyn-based music project, The Do Nothing Machine. The EP evokes the atmosphere of existence under a totalitarian regime like that of Ceaușescu-era Romania, where totalitarian rule stripped life of nuance, subjected citizens to constant surveillance, and rendered private emotion a battleground of the state. It is a sonic meditation on how authoritarianism infiltrates even the innermost recesses of perception. For the best listening experience, please use headphones.
Released June 25, 2025. All songs were written and recorded by The Do Nothing Machine.
